MicroSnap® Total

MicroSnap® Total delivers same-day total viable count (TVC) test results, giving you the advantage of knowing microbial levels on the same day samples are collected. The test uses a novel bioluminogenic test reaction that generates light when enzymes that are characteristic of viable bacteria react with substrates to produce light. The light-generating signal is then quantified with a Hygiena® luminometer. With same-day results, MicroSnap Total results enable you to take corrective actions faster or release products sooner. AOAC RI Performance Tested Method (Certification #031501).

Reduce Costs and Shorten Release Cycles

While sending samples to the lab for PCR analysis can be necessary for a specific application, simpler more cost-effective solutions can supplement your testing protocols. Integrating MicroSnap® as a rapid indicator test within your testing protocol will reduce material cost, shipping costs and lab fees. Plus, a rapid test also means shorter production hold times and lower inventory holding costs, all leading to more cost savings.

MicroSnap

Flexible and Easy-to-Use Format

MicroSnap’s efficient design makes microorganism testing flexible and easy. It can be used for both surfaces and samples. Both options use a simple 2-step process: enrichment and detection. Plus, the patented Snap-Valve holds a precise amount of specific enrichment broth, ready to be used for either product or surface samples. Within the enrichment device is a built-in pipette, enabling convenient and efficient transfer of enriched samples to the detection device. The enriched sample is read on Hygiena® luminometer, which means no tedious colony counting necessary. Use the RLU to CFU conversion table to determine the outcome. Microorganism testing has never been easier.

EnSURE Touch

Complete Hygiena Monitor Program

MicroSnap is an essential component within a complete environmental monitoring program. Combine MicroSnap with the EnSURE® Touch and SureTrend® to capture and trend your test results over time. Use SureTrend dashboard to see how your ATP testing program impacts your microorganism testing and how the two work together to reduce your risk of an event.

MicroSnap® Workflow

The MicroSnap workflow enables specific microbial contamination testing through enrichment sampling, selective incubation, and bioluminescence measurement. After sample transfer to the detection device, enriched microorganisms release ATP, which is measured by Ensure Touch, with optional data management through SureTrend software for comprehensive analysis.

1
Sample Collection (Enrichment Device)
Gather the samples from a surface with the enrichment device swab
2
Incubation
Incubation of swabbed sample in selective enrichment media for growth of target organisms
3
Detection (Detection Device)
Transfer to detection device for ATP release from grown microorganisms
4
Sample Evaluation
Instant ATP measurement providing immediate, quantifiable feedback on cleaning effectiveness
5
Advanced Data Analysis
Further processing of data for comprehensive data trending and reporting
(optional)

Enrichment

Enrichment media that is suitable for the selective growth of microorganisms. A variety of other enrichment media can also be used.

MicroSnap® Enhanced Nutrient Broth

MicroSnap® Enhanced Nutrient Broth is a non-selective protein solution. The 9 mL nutrient broth enables low-level enumeration when used with MicroSnap® Total, MicroSnap® Coliform and MicroSnap® E. coli. For milk samples, use with MicroSnap® Coliform to detect 1 CFU/mL (AOAC RI Performance Tested Method (Certificate #071302).
