AllerSnap® - Allergen Prevention Surface Test

This instructional video demonstrates the proper use of AllerSnap®, Hygiena's allergen prevention test for verifying allergen removal from surfaces.

Key Steps:

  1. Collection
    • Allow AllerSnap to reach room temperature before use.
    • Label the test with the location for easy identification.
    • Swab a 4x4 inch (10x10 cm) area in a crisscross pattern with even pressure to maximize sample collection.
    • Avoid touching the swab shaft to prevent contamination.
    • Rotate the swab tip for maximum sample collection, ensuring proper coverage on irregular surfaces.
  2. Activation
    • Break the Snap-Valve by bending the bulb forward and backward.
    • Squeeze the bulb to release liquid into the tube.
    • Shake for 5 seconds to mix.
  3. Incubation & Results
    • Incubate for 15 minutes at 55°C or 30 minutes at 37°C.
    • Compare the color of the liquid to the AllerSnap color chart:
      • Green = Clean (No allergens detected).
      • Purple = Potential allergens present.
